This photo shows the remote Grimsey Island directly on the Arctic Circle north of Iceland proper. The island is covered in grass and sheep, with millions of seabirds roosting on the cliffs and the runway! I arrived just in time for the annual sport-fishing contest, and we had a dinner of everything but fish since the fishermen were tired of eating fish!
